America One with Wing Tip Rig™ for precise sail control.

Video available in microSAIL! Intro video files

America One is an Americas' Cup type model yacht of impeccable quality and a Strict One Design.

She is raced actively in Orlando ,Fl and with her fully gybable spinnaker offers a whole new racing experience in radio control. She is a joy to sail: steady as a rock and tracks as if on rails!  She takes gusts in stride with no tendency to round up or go out of control like some some other models.

Read some of our customer comments

America One requires only one rig for all conditions due to her unique Wing Tip Rig™ which is easy to depower. Many other boats her size require two to three rigs for different conditions which can really run up the cost or limit your sailing if you don't have them. The spinnaker works very well in any condition since the stronger the wind the more it tends to LIFT the bow!!!

You can actually set the spinnaker with the bow into the wind and use it to backup to get rid of weeds!!

This boat is our Flagship America's Cup Class Yacht model and is one we are very ,very proud of!

Crew Mate Module

Accessories

Complete kit includes everything you need to complete the boat except paint and glue. The hull and deck are bonded, the keel trunk, rudder tube, jib boom tube, spinnaker pole tubes are all in place. You need to fill and finish the hull/deck joint, install the servo module mounts, spinnaker tube, mast compression tube, spinnaker end cap, rudder and keel. The two halves of the lead bulb need to be glued together, filled and sanded. Everything needs to be painted. You will have to cut out the servo holes on the servo module, install and rig servos and spinnaker winch and install deck fittings and hatch. For proper functioning of the spinnaker system this boat requires approximately 20 single blocks and 6 ball bearing thru deck fittings. (included) Only Pekabe are strong enough for the spinnaker system. The radio needs to be programmed and we emphasize that the Futaba 8uap is the ONLY radio we have yet found with the right combination of sticks and dials. Due to the carbon construction a PCM radio is required.. The ONLY winch ,of all winches worldwide, that will pull the spinnaker down is the Guyatt 380; he also makes the special 3-pathway drum for that winch. The supplied mainsheet winch is the Whirlwind Tensor and included with the kit is the 7.2v voltage regulator. The battery is a 7.2v ni-cad to give maximum power to the spinnaker winch. The mast needs the mast heel and crane added (included) and the boom needs to be finished , painted and rigged. All sails are included. Instructions are provided along with pictures and consultation as you need it.
